If You Need Rain . . .

Although officially the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere begins on Monday, September 23rd, I feel as though it really begins this week for a couple of reasons; the days are getting shorter, children are back in school, leaves are turning yellow, the wheels on the combines are starting to turn, and most importantly, it’s the end of the slow pitch season.

It was an eventful season for the boys in blue and white. We started off playing in the highest skill division and ended up losing quite a few games only to drop down and have a more average record. The thing is we didn’t end up playing that many games. Every Thursday it seemed like it was one weather catastrophe or another that shut down the fields, whether that be wildfire smoke or torrential rain.

Many of the more southern areas could have certainly needed this rain this year . . . which is why I’m proposing anyone who needs rain call up the SloBros and set up a baseball game. If we went to the effort to set it up its almost guaranteed to rain and spoil the fun.
