We are always talking about grain but how about the great food that comes from all that Alberta grain. In the 1950’s, the farm wives were busy cooking up a storm using our precious wheat, oats and barley, etc. I stumbled across a priceless recipe book, put together by Farm Women’s Union of Alberta from 1956. These recipes that have passed from generation to generation have become part of family traditions. We have adopted some of these recipes for our family traditions. One of our favorites is the Banana Bread recipe. It has everyone coming back for more. I thought I’d share this one with you so you can test it out for yourself. Enjoy! – Sandra Correia-Letendre
